HOF vote - 2057

Post by WillyD »

All right gents, here we go. Starting up the HOF process with some hitters that I've nominated. Some of these guys are locks, and some of them are, or aren't, for certain owners based on the discussions we've had in the other thread. This should get us going with some new HOF inductees, and perhaps start establishing some guidelines as to what is or isn't a HOFer for the WBL.

Ron Swanson - 1B/3B, WAS (2022-2038)
Leon Warhop - SS, CHA/NYA (2007-2024)
Jim Davis - CF, PIT (1969-1988)
Howard Gingras - SS/3B, BRO/BOS (2038-2055)
Dave Dwyer - 1B/LF/CF, MON/DET (2032-2046)
Wil Hawblitzel - LF, BRO/MON/NYN (2006-2022)
Tom Dorsey - RF/2B, STL/SEA/ATL (2023-2042)

Please vote in this thread by naming the player(s) you think should be elected to the HOF. Let's save any discussions or debates until after voting is concluded. Voting will be open until the end of next weekend. Hopefully we can have it done even sooner (by New Year's Day) so we can move on to some pitchers.

It may be easier if we put some accomplishments like I did on the other post. Just a thought.

Hopefully we have people that actually look at the player card in depth.

Swanson: Yes
Warhop: Yes
Davis: Yes (RIP). (Also, he was a 3rd round pick)
Gringas: Yes
Dwyer: Yes (He had zero stolen base attempts in his career)
Hawblitzel: Yes
Dorsey: NO

Pretty solid list of worthy candidates. Thanks for pulling the info

Maybe it is because of the time since our last induction class, but this group is SOLID....and I believe all worthy. "YES" across the board for me.

Just out of curiosity. Is Warhop better than Dorsey? What's the breakdown on that?
