Hey guys,
I just watched a pretty good Netflix documentary called "Fastball" which is surprisingly about... fastballs.
It's basically about pitchers over the years and who at the time, was considered to be the hardest throwers along with some nice stories along the way. Then it goes into the feeble attempts at the time to discover who was the fastest thrower ever, and then they tie it all together in the end. I thought it was very good; and it is definitely worth a look. I've always been biased against fastballs ever since at a younger age as I couldn't break glass. I always looked up to guys like Greg Maddux and learned a lot about pitching by reading up on him - but this was definitely worth the time.
On a side note, holy shit was Nolan Ryan un-hittable. His last fastball he ever threw when he blew his arm out was 96 [or 98 I forget] at 46 years old. Incredible.
