Based upon the number of games necessary to determine the ALCS we select the date of birth of the following TWL player to act as the anchor date:
ALCS 4 games:: AL ROY
ALCS 5 games:: AL ROY runner-up
ALCS 6 games:: AL ROY 2nd runner-up
ALCS 7 games:: AL ROY 3rd runner-up

Once the anchor date is determined, we use the NY Pick 3 midday lottery results starting from that date and then proceeding onto earlier dates (Example: ALCS lasts 4 games. AL ROY has a DOB of May 20th. We then use the NY Pick 3 results from May 20, May 19, May 18...)
