Congrats to Anaheim
Only in the TWL for a short time, the Anaheim GM does what you need to do to win a World Series (ie trade with Detroit) and topples the SF team for the championship. Led by former Detroit MVP Hank White, Anaheim finishes a season at the pinnacle of the TWL ladder.
Congrats also to SF and their dominance over the hated San Diego squad in the NL playoffs.

Re: Congrats to Anaheim
Thanks, our trade did have a great impact on a successful season, especially the regular season.
As most WS wins, getting there was a story unto itself. We were down 3-0 to Toronto in the division series and came back to win. Game 7 was a fun one, we had a guy thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the 9th that would have won it. Then Ricardo Williams (part of the DET trade) hit a walk off 2R shot in the 11th to send us to the WS.
The real MVP of the WS has to be unsung Doug Heffernan. Check out these WS stats...

Also my first pick in the league (1st overall 4 years ago) pitched a gem in game 7 of the WS to clinch it. Complete game, 6 hits, 10 strikeouts.
Feels good. Very competitive league. Good luck to everyone in the offseason.

Let this be a lesson to everyone to trade more often with Detroit.

Good job Anaheim. We tried for great comeback but feel short. Good luck next year.
Re: Congrats to Anaheim
Congrats.
Gives the rest of us "newbs" hope ...
Of course too we made a trade with Detroit while we were a "contender" ... you know cuz the rumor is that's the way to win a World Series...
Of course after the trade was made, we lost games like we forgot how to play the game, and dropped like a rock in the standings ... and the first round pick we traded away to Detroit ended up being the 8th pick in the draft...
That whole "trade with Detroit, win a World Series" thing ... ???
Not sure it passes the smell test ... I'm just sayin' ...
