A look back at the fabulous draft class of 2020

Post by nuzzy62 »

I was perusing through some old draft classes and the 2020 one really stood out. The first round was absolutely chock full of players who contributed. While there were a few picks at the bottom of the round that was not great, there really were not any duds.

By the numbers:

1 - the number of teams who did not have an all-star from this draft (Los Angeles)
8 - the number of the first 10 picks who are the top eight in all-star votes
11 - the number of all-star appearances by Florida's Fernando Trinidad.
13 - the number of future all-stars selected in the first round
20 - the number of players making an all-star appearance
32- the pick number of Peaches Cardona from San Diego who made an all-star appearance
78 - the lowest pick number, Anaheim's Lollygagger, who played in the bigs.
