No catcher for playoffs

Post by loonatic »

Both my starting and backup catcher were injured late in the season and will miss the first round of the playoffs. I picked up someone off of the waiver wire, but he is ineligible because he was acquired after September 1st. So I don't have any eligible catchers. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Wow! That just sucks! I did loose my Backup Catcher once on the last day of the season. I'm not even sure you can put a non 50% catcher into your starting lineup. I think ABE has to do it... Should be interesting.

Holy cow, makes for an interesting situation. I see Abe had one of your first baseman play catcher, I suppose because that first baseman had 0.5% experience at catcher previously I’m assuming. He didn’t have any errors! But, couldn’t throw anyone out

Well my team got lucky and escaped with a game 7 win against SF. The first baseman that ABE picked to play catcher hit .292, which made up for the 3 errors and 9/9 stolen bases against.
