Sebastian Compton, CF fixture for Montreal, is probably considering retirement in his age 38 season. But there are a couple of milestones that he could reach before his eventual retirement. He currently stands at 2,989 career hits, just 11 short of 3,000, and is stationed at 493 career HR, just 7 shy of 500.
It would be a helluva an achievement for a player with those numbers, as well as logging 14 All Star Teams and 9 Gold Gloves (he might reach 10 this year!) in a 16 year career...

He flew past 3,000 hits, but he's still shy of 500 HR by 5 with 11 games to go.

Congrats, and let me point out that he's only a few short of 500 doubles. Sebastian, with Ritchie Blackmore and Andy Van Slyke made the best set of CFers I've ever seen in one league, at one time. Good luck with getting those numbers! KW

Since last season when Sebastian started showing his age my O has taken a dip... I'm not getting THOSE numbers back! Let's hope the minors develop another miracle soon...
