2 wild walkoff wins
2 wild walkoff wins
The second worst team in the TRL just had 2 of their most exciting comeback wins in their history- and it came against perennial AL power KC in games 98 and 99. In game 98, CLE scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 6-5, and then in game 99, CLE scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game 4-4. The game remained scoreless until the top of the 16th when KC broke through for 3 runs to take a 7-4 lead(CLE was down to their last reliever, Brian Lowry(A+/C-) who surrendered the last few hits. But THEN, in the bottom half of the 16th, CLE scored once to make it 7-5, had a man on and Lowry came up with 2 outs.(no more PH's or relievers left for CLE). Lowry, who had had just 1 AB in his career, amazingly drew a walk, and leadoff hitter Jermaine Segura, who had been 0-7 with 5 K's in the game, hit a walkoff 3-run HR. Unbelievable. You can't make this stuff up. Thank you ABE for this little ray of light in an otherwise dreary season for CLE!

Great summary! You paint a great picture! Always enjoy your posts about not only individual items but your historical TRL points.
