Statistical Leaders in the National League;

Lenny Merullo of the Cubs has a chance of wining the triple crown for batters this year in the NL.

Merullo leads in homeruns with 10, runs batted in with 30 and has a .367 batting average, two points better than Nap Campanis of Philadelphia.

Mark Hisner of Montreal has 16 stolen bases

The pitching leaders are Mike Marshall of Montreal and Mark Ritter of Colorado with 5, Ritter's ERA of 2.17 leads Marshall's 2.45 and Rich Lansford has a league leading 47 strikeouts.

Jim Bonham of the Pittsburgh Vipers has 11 saves to top the circuit in that category.
