Desperately seeking Pitching Coach

Post by ratman44 »

Do you like the hustle and Bustle of big Cities, do you like strong armed fellas, then do we have a place for you...

Come to New York, where you can work with some of the best...or maybe some of the most talented, or well I don't know at this point.

Charlie Shea is waiting for your guidance. This former CY award winner has a career WhIP of 1.28 and ERA of 3.44, right now he is at 1.66, and 6.87. He is literally throwing temper tantrums in the bullpen waiting for your help.

Ben Hickey is 1.35 and 3.86 for his career, not this year, Try 1.50 and 6.30. See if you can solve his pitching issues.

Young Dick Vergez, got 6 offseason Improvements, I know you can't tell. His No hitter last year is a great accomplishment, since he can't make it out of the first inning without giving up 3 runs. His 6.61 ERA is certainly disturbing.

Try tossing them after 1 or 2 ER.

That wouldn't help Shea he likes to give up 2 run homers to the second batter he faces.

My settings are the same as they have been for the past 6 seasons, Shea is in the same setting spot he won the Cy Young award in. Maybe the hitting has gotten better in the NL, but he has been terrible.

He is an A overall pitcher, no way his ERA should be so high.
