The 2011 ballot has two players for consideration
Rules for induction
1. Must have 10 yrs of service time in the majors
2. Any owner can nominate any retired player, including those with less than 10 years. This is due to the many years in the past where there was no HOF voting.
3. A player will have 3 opportunities to be voted into the HOF
4. Must receive 2/3 of votes cast to be inducted
Here are this year's nominees. Contact me if you think someone else should be listed.
Voting will close on 20Jun18.
Scott Benn
1x MVP, 5x All Star, 5x GG, 441 Career HRs (29th All Time), 412 Career SBs (54th All Time)
John Nickle
1x Cy Young, 4x FOY, 8x All Star, 493 Career Saves (8th All Time)
HOF Ballot - 2011
Re: HOF Ballot - 2011
No to both also...what gets them back on the ballot for a second attempt?
Re: HOF Ballot - 2011
There is no criteria for a 2nd chance. All nominees will get 3 chances.
Re: HOF Ballot - 2011
How can you not vote for a guy who both has a Cy Young and is number 8 on the all-time saves list....?
Re: HOF Ballot - 2011
I did not vote for him assuming he got a second chance somehow, he had 55 saves and won the fireman one year with an ERA of 5.75. That was being opportunistic on a great team, not great pitching. So I passed on the hopes he gets a second shot.
Re: HOF Ballot - 2011
No to Benn and yes to Nickel
