If you don't want tankers in your league, join a league that prohibits it.

You cannot build a computer program to police this and it is NOT worth ADMIN's time to deal with it.

Does it "ruin the fun for the league." Join a different league.

Is is "unfair and creates a competitive disadvantage for everyone else?" Join a different league.

Are people actually tanking, or are they just stupid? :) Again, join a different league if you don't like it. This is 10 full pages of the same 3-4 owners griping about a problem that isn't a problem. Let it go and move on. Good grief.

It is a thing and it really bad in dynasty ! Why don’t you join and help fix the problem

If it's a problem, leave the league.

I am the commissioner of two private leagues. We do not have a tanking problems.

Dynasty leagues are basic, they are high turnover, new owners get fleeced in trades with predatory unscrupulous types, some owners run the teams into the ground and leave.

Those issues cannot be fixed.

Go to a private league with good owners and quit asking admin to artificially "fix" a problem that isn't real.

To Reagan's bad players point. Yes WW is full of A+/ C And A/C+ pitchers those are normally 3-5 rd picks that people routinely cut. Also drafting D+ control pitchers leads to these as well. Talent inflation is a concern here. Every league has lesser talent on Waivers, why they are on waivers, Owners willing to trade would help the Tanking but you have to have drafted bits to trade. So better drafting helps end the tanking as well.

OS18 D+ control pitchers lead to A+/B, A/B+, A/B, A+/B- pitchers, and sometimes A+/B+ pitchers. Assuming we're talking about C+/D+, B-/D+, B/D+, and B+/D+ starting grades.

Assuming Max development and Patience. 3 of those four outcomes are 4 to 6 ERA Pitchers on mediocre to rebuild teams. I am sorry but most of us want results to be in 4 years with 18 yo's not 6-8. Since no Var dev in Dynasty leagues these guys don't get developed.

That's why most of you can't win. No patience. All of those pitchers minus the A+/B- type (the least likely outcome of the five I mentioned) are as good or better than most of the garbage you're drafting and trading for. The only split that makes A+/B- sometimes is the B+/D+ split. The others all have a decent to good chance at A overall.

Have your settings so pitchers are pulled quickly so you burn through your pitching staff leaving guys in at the end to be hammered.

Have your steal and baserunning settings so that everyone is aggressive regardless of how fast they are.
