Merge or close leagues

We tried awhile back to merge the Joe and Reggie Jackson leagues. ONE owner in the Joe voted NO The Joe has since recovered but the Reggie still has 5-7 openings. I don't know why people don't want to merge leagues. Maybe if an expansion draft was held of the teams being cut There B+ or better players And the remaining teams had to set up to try to draft say two of them it would help. A lot of Hall of Fame talent gets deleted when leagues die. A two player expansion draft helps the league in that two B to C+ players are left in the minors and the talent pool is enhanced for trades etc.

I don't know why some owners are against mergers either. There is one league that has only five owners. What good is that? Those five owners could join another league filling those vacancies. When I first started in SD such a league would have been folded and remaining owners would have been given the option to join another league or get a credit that they could use later.

Fold leagues into the OCL and bring it back up to a 64-team league.
