I noticed this. 1st no-hitter in more than 2 years. Last 1 was Tommy Hanson back in April 2026.

I wonder if the fact that the new Minor League System has likely caused inflation in overall-"lineup talent" contributes to less no-hitters lately. It certainly isn't because of the lack of good starting pitcher. Joe Pasqual isn't even the best Minnesota Winter pitcher!

Also, I was surprised to see Chicago's lineup get no-hit. Chicago's offense has actually been rather great this season. As of Game 96, they have scored 512 runs (4th overall in the league). Nice to see your Wild Weasel hitters start to come together. That franchise has been in the dumps for quite long enough.

As of Game 96, they have scored 512 runs (4th overall in the league).
They're only hitting .256 but are fifth in the JML in walks and fourth in HRs. So a lot of standing around waiting for three-run homers. :lol:
