Each of the jersey numbers of my QBs have had a specific meaning or purpose

#3 Eric "The Red" Elric (Allen Iverson was my guy growing up. When he stopped playing for the Sixers I stopped watching basketball)

#7 Nolan Creed (At the time my team had a religious theme. All the OL were named after apostles, the QB's last name was Creed so I chose holy #7)

#10 Hideki Nakamura (I think this was a nod to DeSean Jeackson because Philadelphia or Eli Manning who I always respeted)

#1 John Walker (A #1 overall pick and the first of two A+ overall QBs I had, it just seemed appropriate)

#13 Francis Locke (A joke because 13 is an unlucky number and this QB was A+ overall and won me my first championship)

#3 Emory Elric (This was like Eric Elric's great-great grandson or something so he wore Eric's number)

#4 Jean-Luc Picard (There's a famous episode of TNG where Picard gets captured by the aliens known as the Caradasians and his torturer tries to break him. He offers him a "deal" that he'll let him leave if he admits there are three lights above him when there are really four. He has no intention of letting him go of course.

For a brief moment Picard has been beaten down so much that when he looks up at the lights he almost can't tell how many are there-- his torturers almost got him to literally see three lights when there were four. The Enterprise crew gets on the Cardasians' governments' ass about holding Picard prisoner and right before he is finally let go he yells out defiantly "THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS". It's a semi-famous meme and a classic "get the f**k outta here with that bs" moment among dorks like me

It's kind of a metaphor for life right now when the world tells you lies and tries to tell you 1+1=3 you tell 'em "THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!")

Not my current franchise technically but back when the league first started I beat phen0m in a Sim Bowl (http://football.simdynasty.com/postseas ... &year=1963), which is something most people couldn't say. He was the original OG of this game and I basically copied all his gameplay and roster building strategies.

When I first started this sim I was using BC Lions alum for player names, then I realized how fast the seasons went by and quickly ran out of names  .

My team name is actually a joke on the Pittsburgh Pirate’s name, since if there were any Pirates in Pittsburgh they would have to sail around on the rivers and raid ships there. Hence, River Raiders.

I made it to 6 straight Sim Bows and 7 of 8 when this league was first founded, winning 2. Each loss was to Phenom. Could never beat him when it counted. That team was the current Winnipeg franchise, named British Columbia Owls then.
