Forgive me for being an ignorant newbie but I when I look at draft prospects many of their skills are rated M, H, L, or ?. What on earth is that and what does it mean? I can't find anything on it in the game guide.
Thanks in advance

Re: Draft Scouting
High medium and low
They become letter grades after the draft but the only one(s) you can really gauge beforehand are potential/attitude by looking at how high their improvement chances were and how well they converted them

Re: Draft Scouting
High could be anywhere from B+ to A+
Medium could be C+ to B
Low could be F to C-
I might not be exactly right on that but that's generally what I see out there. We use letters here instead of numbers so it's all kind of vague but I like it that way.

What does the ? mean exactly? Does it just mean that it is totally unknown?

Re: Draft Scouting
If they are a junior that declares and not a senior certain tertiary attributes like health, stamina, potential ect. will be completely hidden (without even the H, M, L hints) so the advantage of drafting a senior is that you have at least a hint of all their stats. A junior is younger (more time to develop and a longer lifespan on yoyr team generally) but some stats remain a mystery. Again, potential and attitude can be somewhat guesstimated by looking at the improvement chart
But drafting a HB for example with ? Stamina could bite you if it ends up being low (say C or lower). Drafting defensive players with ? Aggression could bite you if they're a DLinemen or linebacker that ends up having C aggression or an offensive linemen with A+ aggression (penalties) or a QB with A+ aggression (interceptions). A player that has a ? In health that ends up being C- is more injury prone and probably will retire at a younger age. It could be the reverses of these scenarios as well which would be to your benefit. It's a gamble so it's tricky.
Some like me get tied up in the main skills that always get revealed (throw power, accuracy, carry, pass cover, run cover, tackle, speed, agility, jump, agility, speed) and those lesser paid-attention-to stats make a good looking draft pick problematic. For example I drafted this DE (http://football.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=4765572) 8th overall with a ? in attitude and stamina and he ended up with C+ and D- respectively so he is prone to finishing games with low stamina and missing games so I have to constantly condition drill him meaning I miss out on other drills like weight training to address his lower strength.
If you'll notice college players start with a ? at a lot of these attributes and more and more get revealed or at least hinted at as they becone seniors
It gets a bit clearer on draft day when salaries are revealed. Sometimes but not always the players with higher salaries end up having better stats. That's why I usually rank the draft once during the season and then modify my rankings on draft day (or at least at the end of the season because remember they grow like young players do in the pros during the course of a season. A B+ overall player could be A- or A by Week 17 while a player who was A- in week 4 might not grow any in the course of the season).
Then again, that its self could be misleading also if it's say a DE with B+ throw power or something. That B+ could up their overall letter grade even though it's an attribute they'll never use in-game.

Re: Draft Scouting
Neon's rookie question brings up something: Shouldn't there be an upgraded Game Guide? The game has been updated without a corresponding manual.
Frankly, I am really unsure of a lot of player stats and how they rank.
I don't really feel much more knowledgeable than he is, eH?
