FHFL Hall of Fame Class of 2052/2053 (Step Two - Voting Phase)

Post by luminafire »

Better late than never. The game really pissed me off last season so I had to take a slight mental break from the site. With the mood I was in, I couldn't see myself sitting down and dedicating and hour+ researching all these stats and putting this ballot together.

With that said, once it was finished I realized this one might be hard for people to chose from. One guy is obvious but there are a lot of good players here.

Here are the guidelines:

1. Every franchise (i.e, each of the 32 players in the league) has the chance to vote for up to three players from this ballot (we stretched this for the nominations, but if you vote for more than three I will only count the first three). If a player gets 6 or more votes, they will be inducted into the FHFL Hall of Fame.

2. If a player gets more than half of that threshold (more than 3 but less than 6) they will automatically be added to the next ballot (this means that even if nominations get slow, we should always have a plenty-big ballot).

3. You are not required to vote for three players. Obviously, you're not required to vote at all.

4. You may edit your votes until the end of the voting phase.

5. The players are listed in the order they were nominated.

6. You cannot "write-in" vote for someone who did not make this ballot.

7. You do not have to vote within this thread. If you want to anonomously send your ballot to me by PM, you may and I will not say who voted in those private ballots. Not sure why you would want to do this, but you may.

8. Voting ends at the end of the Sim Bowl

9. You are allowed to vote for players that played for your own team, but I wouldn't throw away my vote if the player is an obvious lost cause.

Hey Bo, to make sure entire ballots don't get elected every franchise is limited to three votes. You're welcome to edit your post but if not I will end up only counting the first three you mentioned...

When I started the HOF we wanted to design a system that let in a limited elite number of people a year, had nominations come from the league and something that was challenging but not impossible to get into (hence the reason a player needs 4 votes to be inducted). It's worked pretty well and we've maintained a pretty high bar for who gets in because of that even though it does mean that players sometimes have to have several go-rounds before they'll get in
