Streaking Toronto wins 9th straight!!!

Toronto 8 Baltimore 4

Streaking Toronto doubled up Baltimore 8-4 for their ninth straight win. The Trudeaus, finally have rounded into the shape that sent them to the ALCS last season in a startling transformation from a last place club in 1950. The Trudeaus of 1952 have been a streaky club indeed as the long winning streak comes on the heals of a seven game losing streak and a sorry patch in the schedule where the teams dropped nine of ten games.

Rick Kennedy, who won game four of the streak (defeating Hard Luck Howard of Tampa), to even his record at 2-2, started the game for Toronto.

Toronto went to work early with the bats pounding Baltimore starter Joe Kress for three runs in the 1st inning. Scoops Minetto hit a two run triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by George Krivda.

Vic Milalic scored Toronto's fourth run on a two base error by Baltimore right fielder Joe Cocreham. 4-0 Toronto
A two run homerun by Krivda off Kress (7th given up) in the 3rd built the lead to 6-0. Krivda added a solo shot in the 7th off Billy Moser (5th hit off Moser) to give him 4 for the year to give him four runs batted in in the game and and Minetto concluded a three RBI game (8 total bases), with a solo homerun in he 5th inning.

The Trudeaus are only two games behind Texas and Anaheim.
