Death of a thousand (well 18 actually) cuts

Los Angeles recently had their way with St. Louis 12-1.

It was an odd game in that the Miracles had 20 hits but 18 of them were singles, it also featured the almost unheard of defensive substitution for LA, in the top of the 9th Butch Ratzer came in to play RF for Mickey Haller in order to protect our, at the time, 12 run lead. My defensive replacement rules are as follows:

Use defensive replacements when I am winning by at least 12 Runs, but no more than 24 Runs
Use defensive replacements who are much better than the guy in the field
Only make these substitutions in the 8 th Inning or later.

Obviously gonna have to raise that "winning by" threshold, maybe 18 will do it ?
