ISO???
I just noticed on my hitters player card a new stat added (ISO). I trust I'm not the only one seeing this???

yep we have isolated power in our stats now
Re: ISO???
I don't see it either. Where is it?
Re: ISO???
Look on the full card for stats yearly stats... you'll see it between SLG and AVG
Re: ISO???
It's only on the modern player card.

Re: ISO???
Okay so here's a question for everyone - how valuable a tool/stat is ISO in evaluating a player?
I mean obviously you're going to prefer it to be higher than lower because it naturally means the player is performing but would you prefer someone who hits around .300 and is mostly a singles/doubles hitter with an ISO around .100 or a guy who hits .220 but lots of extra base hits and an ISO around .200
Take these 2 examples from my team - both were all star seasons for whatever that's worth
Player 1 avg .330 obp .392 slg .476 ops .868 ISO .146
Player 2 avg .287 obp .342 slg .515 ops .857 ISO .228
Who would you rather have?

Re: ISO???
This year? I want that on base percentage. My team can't get anyone on base and we're killing rallies with strikeouts.

Re: ISO???
In your theoretical I take the .300/.100 guy because the .220 average guy, in sim, going to have an OBP around .285 & the other guy is going to be .365+ obp. In your "real" player I probably take the .228 ISO because he's still got a respectable OBPBigMacAttack wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 1:13 pm Okay so here's a question for everyone - how valuable a tool/stat is ISO in evaluating a player?
