Retirement Bug - please read

Post by tworoosters » Mon Mar 09, 2020 11:07 am

Going through retirements this morning I noticed that Charlie Clarke had retired.

He shouldn't have, at least not based on our league rules. With retirement system 2 a pitcher should not retire unless they:

Spend less than 125 games active, Clarke was active for 156

Are on the waiver wire, Clarke wasn't

Appear in less than 18 games and pitch less than 75 innings, Clarke appeared in 24 games

Pitch less than 25 innings regardless of games, Clarke pitched 48 1/3 innings

I know it doesn't really affect anything but a bug is a bug and shouldn't happen. I have submitted a service ticket but would appreciate if everyone could check their retirees & advise me if there are any others who should not have retired so I can give Chris more info.

Retirement Rules

System 2

This system takes the approach that as long as a team is willing to give a player some playing time, he will continue to play. Players will retire if they are 34 or older and meet meet one of the following criteria:

They have spent fewer than 120 games on an active roster the previous season, including time spent on the Disabled List.
They are on the waiver wire.
For batters, they have fewer than 125 plate appearances in the previous season.
For pitchers, they have fewer than 18 appearances (starting or in relief) and fewer than 75 innings pitched, or fewer than 25 innings pitched in any number of games.
They reach the age of 50.

All of mine were ok this year but I know there have been other times where I felt they were off. Unfortunately I can’t for the life of me remember who those guys were.

I had 6 people retire but it was my lack of use of them that caused retirement.
