250 for Bragg

Post by tworoosters »

Peter Bragg homered in the bottom of the first inning of the Miracles recent win over St Louis to reach the 250 home run plateau. Bragg becomes the 3rd Los Angeles Miracle to reach the 250 mark in home runs and sits 12th among active hitters despite only once hitting more then 25 home runs in a single season. The 4th pick overall in 2094 Bragg has had an unusual career, never really having a break out year but consistently putting up solid numbers, he was the NL Rookie of the year in 2099 in what could be argued was his best year offensively .

Active for almost 2200 games Bragg has started roughly 2/3rds of them, mostly versus RHP, while playing all three OF positions, though primarily in center field. Despite experiencing declines beginning after the 2110 season Bragg has posted two of his best offensive seasons, rate stat wise, in 2011 and 2012 and currently leads the Miracles in RBI despite being seventh in at bats this year. Sometimes considered a bit of a disappointment, he was selected before players like Weinert and Susko, Bragg has just continued to produce and has had a very productive career which shows little sign of ending any time soon.

Peter Bragg reached the 1,000 mark in both runs and RBI in the Miracles 3-2 victory over Philadelphia.

Bragg is only the 8th active player in the BHL to reach the 1,000 mark in both categories, he is 3rd all time in Miracles team history in RBI and 2nd in runs, only seven behind top spot. Bragg has done this with consistency never scoring 100 runs in a season and only once driving in 100, despite three seasons in declines Bragg is producing at a higher level now than when "in his prime"
