Slump ?

Post by tworoosters »

I know there are theoretically no slumps in Sim, but if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck .............

In his past seven starts Bennet Holiday has a WHIP of 1.40, an ERA of 5.19, and has gone 1-4, in his previous 28 starts he posted a whip of 0.96, an ERA of 2.28 and was 17-3 .

That's probably the worst 7 back to back starts of his career. Bummer

It's upside down time in the BoHo. STL has gone 12-6 in our last 18. That's 22% of our season win total in the past three days. We were on pace fr a 10 spot penalty before that.

Then there is Walker

A lot of pitchers fall off the cliff after declines but Ryan Walker actually improved in his OS34 year, 1 control improve, and still fell off the cliff. In 2012 Walker was 3rd in the NL Cy Young race, winning 16 games, saving 19 in 24 opportunities, leading the National in appearances while notching a 1.20 whip and an ERA of 3.20, he had 1 decline in endurance and this year he's 1-7 with 3 saves in 10 chances while sporting a 1.66 whip with an ERA just north of 7.
