Wild one in St Louis

Post by tworoosters »

Gary Malloy had a pretty good day in the Miracles recent win over St. Louis but then again so did a lot of hitters. Malloy had six hits, two each of singles, doubles and home runs, scored three runs and drove in ten runs as LA racked up 23 runs on 26 hits and 8 walks, Malloy was already averaging more than one RBI per game and after the first nine games of the season is on pace to drive in 360 runs (take the under). I don't recall seeing a lot of six hits games recently and I certainly don't recall one where two players had six hits each in a game, besides Malloy Matt Gereghty also had six hits and Reb McCarthy and Johnny Allen each had four hits. Every positional player in the Los Angeles lineup reached base at least twice and the Miracles scored at least one run in all nine innings. In total the two teams combined for 41 hits and 53 base runners,

On a down note because the Miracles built up such a huge early lead ABE left Pablo de Santis out on the mound for the full game to give up nine earned runs and eighteen base runners.
