Seattle to Sell Two 25 Under 25 Players to Win Now

Sources close to the Seattle General Manager suggest that he is willing to sell Dick Kealey and Fritz Laboy, who both appeared on the league's recent 'Twenty Five Under Twenty Five' list, as well as future draft picks, in a desperate effort to win a World Series during his team's current window. Perhaps acknowledging that his effort to retool the Spurs three seasons ago was ineffective and prematurely broke up a promising, young squad in an effort to win now, built around Rob Lovett, the GM is reportedly concerned that his pitching staff is unable to compete with Chicago and the National League leaders...

Seattle is reportedly making its intentions known, hoping to receive offers of starting pitching from around the league. Whether the effort will be enough to save the GM's job remains to be seen.
