so pleased to join Kansas City as the proud owners of opening day injuries, I was a bit luckier as KC lost Yamachi for 19 days while we only lost Shaw for 9 days .

Losing my 1st string catcher for 17 days was a blow, but it did open up an opportunity for our new acquisition from the Japanese leagues, So Inami, to get a taste of the majors.

What is it with Kansas City and Japanese catchers ?

If you can't find 'em in the developmental ranks, draft 'em from over seas and start 'em. That's just how they roll over there.

The Japanese catchers don't annoy the pitchers with a lot of yammering. They're strong, silent types .
