I am thinking one of the BWL greats is not a fan of Boston:

Re: Bad Chowder??
He's always been a prima donna. His teammates in Oak/NY hated him. That's why he didn't win the CY his last full season with the Squirrels. His teammates became so aggravated when he was on the mound that they couldn't focus and put forth their best effort; hence lack of run support.
Re: Bad Chowder??
Rumor has it that Al is wanting a trade to Detroit where he can get some more run support. Any hint that any of the car makers there might give him a luxury vehicle if he did swing a trade to Detroit are unfounded and just rumors. Detroit Wolverines management did confirm that a player of his caliber would be very welcome on the team, but deny any contact with Al or his agent lest they violate anti-tampering rules. Boston management though is welcome to call Detroit if they wanted to relocate this disruptive player while he still has a few short years left in his fine career.

Well, you know, the Flying Squirrels are becoming quite long in the tooth. We'll be seeing mass retirements the next couple of offseasons. Lots of youngsters coming up who don't really know Al. Just sayin'.
Re: Bad Chowder??
I never say no to trade offers on any of my players, I just might decline quickly! I am hoping this public shaming might light a fire under "Big Al", but we will see...

After 1 game today your team is a playoff team winning 62.7% of your games. Al is coasting along at 8-7 (53.3% winning percentage) with a respectable 1.15 WHIP only .03 worse than his career ave. His 3.57 ERA though is for sure worse than his career 2.75 ERA which is 3rd all time atm. You might remind Al that if he does not do better he can not catch Karl Gelinas of Montreal who had the 2nd best ERA which was 2.67. If he falls back anymore ERA wise he may not even stay as 3rd best ERA. Heinie Camacho of the NY Mets was 4th at 2.87 ERA and a fellow Boston Player Joe "Killer" Kiely is 5th all time at 2.90 WHIP. So it's up to Al where he finishes in the ERA history of the league. Needless to say I doubt he can catch the all time leader from Brooklyn, Hayden "Sidd" Finch, which had the leagues best ERA of 2.40 We wish Al the best of luck in his quest for excellence except when he is facing us of course.
(Surprisingly enough Detroit is 2-1 against Al his year)
