The return of the Rick Ankiel story

Post by jmckeean »

Ez Crompton, an unspectacular, but functionally better than adequate pitcher for my team for several years, has become the new YIP of this league. An overall A- pitcher with C+ B A ratings with these numbers for the current season: 19 appearances, 0-7 record, 11 saves with 8 blown saves, 15.2 innings 36 hits 10 walks and 10 strikeouts. My pen is not so strong, so I have stuck with him, but OMG......when will the Ankiel'ism of this season finally pass?!!!

Wow. Look at last years stats when he was an all star backup. Led the league in with 48 saves and only 8 blown saves in 64 appearances. This year 11 saves and 8 blown saves already. Last year 1.27 whip and 2.89 ERA. This year so far 2.94 whip and 13.79 ERA. Did he know about a random drug test for this year and got off the juice or too much partying? Crazy stats.
