ALCS 2116

Post by Hamilton2 »

Good luck to Chicago in the League Championship Series. If I'm completely honest, I expected to play them here, but was thinking the standings would be the other way 'round. Injuries just absolutely decimated the Hitmen this season. Even though we are 20 games up in the win column, our head-to-head series ended at 102 runs to 100.

Texas will be relying on our bullpen, which was absolutely stellar this season. Seth Rodgers and Bernie Roth pitched 260+ innings between them with an ERA of 2.52. They also posted a combined record of 28-5 with 31 saves and only 9 blown saves.

2B Rob Lovett is playing in his 11th League Championship series. He has also made it to 5 previous World Series, but is without a championship ring.

Wow, I thought this series would be close - but never anticipated a sweep...by Chicago. Well done Hitmen...and too bad for Lovett.

Well that sucked.

Congrats, with sincerity, Pierzynsky. Go bring that Title home for the AL. :)

Wow, Joe I didn't think anyone could match my pathetic WS rings/playoffs ratio in the BHL (8/57 or 14%) but you are KILLING me at 5/42 (11.9%), I feel for you brother.

This will be a lot more amusing in a couple of days. :(

This is also the reason that I got so excited when we managed to play one another in the WS a while back. One of us had to win!

Hammy, it was a surprise to me as well that we swept you, let alone made the playoffs. I almost sold off this season so this is like a bonus playoff run. And thanks for the well wishes.

As I found a while back and I think roosters discovered this year, when no one is buying, there's not much point in selling.

True, I may just keep buying since my current assets seem to have little market value
