You can use Chat GPT to write articles about Sim Dynasty games.

Here's one giving it the prompt, "write article using associated press style and fake quotes, Chicago Wild Weasels entering game 29-35, sixth place in American league, Toronto Blue Jays entering game 29-35 in sixth place" and then copy-and-pasting the game summary on the left.

Wild Weasels Edge Blue Jays in Tight Contest, 6-4

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Wild Weasels held off a late surge from the Toronto Blue Jays to secure a 6-4 victory Saturday in a battle of teams tied for sixth place in the American League standings.

Despite their matching 29-35 records entering the game, Chicago took early control with timely hitting and solid pitching, staving off a ninth-inning scare.

“We needed this one,” said Wild Weasels manager Dan Crenshaw. “It’s been a tough season, but today, the guys showed heart and came through when it mattered.”

Elliott Sparks Chicago's Offense
Chicago struck first in the opening inning, with Chris Elliott doubling to center and later scoring on Max Brapp’s single. The Wild Weasels added to their lead in the second, highlighted by Andy Sabola’s two-run single to make it 5-1 by the end of the frame.

Elliott, who reached base three times, praised his team’s aggressive approach. “We stayed patient, found our pitches, and executed,” he said.

War Eagle’s Power Keeps Toronto Close
Toronto’s offense was ignited in the third inning when Johnny War Eagle blasted a two-run home run, cutting the deficit to 5-3.

“That’s what I’m here to do—spark this team,” War Eagle said. “But we’ve got to find ways to capitalize more consistently.”

Despite War Eagle’s efforts, Toronto struggled to string hits together, leaving 11 runners on base.

Late Drama in the Eighth and Ninth
After several quiet innings, Chicago’s Bob Carey scored on Troy Enabed’s pinch-hit double in the eighth, giving the Wild Weasels a 6-3 lead.

Toronto made it interesting in the ninth. Al Lion and Sylvester Tweety hit solo home runs off Chicago’s bullpen to trim the margin to 6-4. When Harry Tsoklis doubled and David Skeleton walked, the tying run was on base.

Garth Crooks entered to face Johnny War Eagle and induced a game-ending flyout, preserving the victory.

“I trusted my defense,” Crooks said. “Johnny’s a great hitter, but I just focused on making my pitch.”

Struggles Continue for Both Teams
For Toronto, the loss highlighted a recurring issue with missed opportunities. “We’ve got to clean up our execution in big spots,” said Blue Jays manager Mike Callahan. “You can’t leave that many guys on base and expect to win.”

Meanwhile, Chicago aims to use the win as a stepping stone. “We’re not where we want to be,” said Crenshaw. “But this shows we can battle.”

Sounds a lot like the summaries in OOTP Baseball.

I'd considered it. I'd also considered long before AI of using template-based methods to create news articles, but when I suggested it there was a surprisingly strong resistance against it at the time.
