Joe,
Is it possible your simply “trippin”?

Maybe, but I do know the difference between "your" and "you're."

It sounds like you’ve got the sim and mlb all figured out. Babe you thought of being an MLB GM?

Someone asked, I answered, lightweight. I'm not telling you to do anything or act a certain way. You're either a scumbag who rooks the system or you're not. In real time I don't call people on their bullshit. I see it and note it. Mostly my point originally was to adjust the Sim engine to make it more difficult to do the tear-down/tank/draft high approach of the rinse-and-repeat self back-patters on this site, whose formula never fails. Yet it fails more often than not in real sports. Nothing is a guarantee in the real world, and maybe the Sim should reflect that to one degree or another.

But that's pie in the sky, and I certainly have no delusion about what the crybaby contingent on this site will do if forced to start over. The fact is, there may not be a choice, though we know which way the "first!" people will go, long as they're on top.

I personally am against a hard reset, I play the game because I enjoy it , I have been around a minute but limit myself to 3 Leagues...Billy Hamilton, Joe DiMaggio and Jumbo Brown (24 team) league. I enjoy each league as each has been different right now Ratman has won 4 straight titles in BHL ....I have employed the Frankenstein quick hook pitching method in the past but only as a necessity have never built a team like that (I do it when I only have a few good pitchers and they have good Health, you do steal some ABs this way as well) It has seldom worked for me I think I've only won 1 title like this, I have never considering it "cheating" as lets be honest in the MLB now a days pitchers going about 6 is common and even only 5 frequently. So u could make an argument that having a super rotation with 3 or 4 Aces pitching complete games is unrealistic as well and seldom works in real life...Just an observation I learned along time ago to enjoy the game my way and let others enjoy the game their way.....Compton has never bothered me lol......Look forward to playing again soon

Question: is admin even considered a hard reset? I’ve not seen anything indicating this, though there are so many posts I may have missed it.

Lol. That’s the thing. somebody suggested they just do a hard reset. Admin has not said anything about it publicly as far as I know.

I think some people think that would bring the game back quicker , others seem to think that people who have played the game forever need to lose their records and such (not sure why) Some seem to act like veterans feel entitled or something. I do remember the first league I played in their was an owner ..."The Owner in the league had like an incredible percentage of Championships in this league and I wanted to beat him so bad. He was a very good owner but one thing that he did that I hated was he would make trade offers explaining why they needed to make the trade and really pressure them (especially new owners in the league). Then if someone else made a trade he didn't like he would go Crazy. So I eventually just pinned a post warning all new owners that they would be getting lots of offers and encouraging them to be patient get a feel for the league and the market value of pitching ect......well I guess i became a thorn in his side and he would always brag about his past accomplishments not current happenings....Some other good owners came in and his dominance faded and he quietly left..A league that he had considered "his" forever. I remember I would get fired up...that has faded as I realize this is entertainment its fun...I know my strengths as an owner and my weaknesses (Worry to much about depth and I am obsessed wit6h catchers lol) But what I have done is enjoyed it!!!!!

Yeah I don't think the hard reset thing is a real option (unless all of the site's data was lost, but as far as I know that didn't happen). For what it's worth, I'd be very against a hard reset -- I've spent time building my team's roster and even though it's not very good and I've never won anything (so I'm not someone worried about losing all my records/accomplishments), I'm invested in that team and those fake players.

That said, they will need to do something when the site comes back. I'm not even talking financially or giving out credits, but I just think most of the stie's user base isn't active on the forums. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but I think the group of us that are here and still posting is not a majority of that site. That means that a lot of people may already be gone. So more than anything else I'm worried about a bunch of leagues having 8-10 inactive owners and/or dynasty bots when we get back.

One of my leagues is a composite of two leagues that had gotten a little too thin. I think, when it’s all back up and running, it will become apparent over time that some leagues are no longer adequately “ownered”. When that time comes the obvious answer will be merging of leagues.

agreed wish all leagues were active on chat and message Boards ...Man i got a special pitching staff getting ready to be ready in The Joe DiMaggio League 4 potential A Starters by the time they 24 or 25 and a legit closer as well ...they going to be something Id hate to lose that squad for sure....I do believe leagues should merge even if it means them bringing the squads they have I hate a league with more than 2 bots makes trading impossible and you see some great players just wasting away...I like the idea of letting people take over the squads for the rest of the season for free and pay for the upcoming season maybe turn off the trade function or something. May be a good way to recruit owners :D
