Hi all,
Since the future of this league does not look bright, thought I'd let you know about a couple openings we will have in the Vin Scully League. Best league on the site, in my opinion, and a great group of committed owners. Alec and I are the commissioners, 24 teams, variable improvement. Hope some of you consider coming over!

Re: Looking for VSL Owners
Saw your post. I've limited my ownership to one league and chose the BHL because I love the rule set. I see that VSL is pretty similar. I don't know how tanking is in VSL but the anti-tanking rule in the BHL I believe drove the right focus (discouraged intentional tanking). But I can live without it. The one rule in the VSL that I did not like in other leagues is Retirement System 1, where you have no direct control over who retires and when. I much prefer Retirement System 2. I might be interested in VSL even with RS 2. How active are league owners? Sadly The BHL has gone quiet on that front.

I agree on the retirement system preference but I also think the VSL system is more realistic. Sometimes guys are going to retire before you think they would. As for tanking, I think you should be able to run your team the way you see fit. There is a good mix of owners in the VSL, some are successful without tanking but some have to tank because of their division (the highly competitive NL West).
A lot of high quality and active owners in the VSL, hope you'll consider joining us despite the settings not being an ideal fit for you!

Re: Looking for VSL Owners
Thanks for the heads up, for me retirement system 2 and a draft lottery/wheel are deal breakers, the eternal tank/draft high/win for a few years/sell off at 50 cents on the $1/tank again cycle is just not something I can put up with.
I guess the end of the BHL will be the end of the sim for me after more than 15 years and 430+ seasons. It's been mostly fun but less and less as the improvements stopped and the forums died.
