#1 pick help

Post by Lawman23 »

Just acquired #1 in this draft
http://www.simdynasty.com/draftprevnew.jsp?sort=ranking
Here is my depth

I am leaning toward Tamulis , is there a reason to assume he won't make A+/B+ ? Or should I grab Finigan and let him grow in the minors? Is there someone else I am missing? Thanks for looking , Steve

i think Butler is the clear #1 for me. Not really a huge fan of Tamulis, he'll be alright but nothing special.

To me, it would come down to CP availability. You have 5 good young major league or major league ready pitchers already, so Butler who has higher upside would be a better choice, since you have plenty of CP slots and already have pitching. I think Butler he makes at least A/A- and A overall.

The other player mentioned, Finigan, could end up good, but he's a risk. C/C could end up mid to high A-/A-, and his defense won't be good enough to make up for OK hitting.

I didn't look at your CP situation when I said I would probably do Tamulis. Still, Butler is C overall. I think he has slightly higher upside, but there is no guarantee either of them make A overall. I think both have a pretty decent chance, though. I would probably take Butler on 2nd glance, just because every prospect in your minors that is good is promotable.
