I checked my catcher's place on the Gold Glove list because he won a GG the previous 2 seasons (in the other league) and is having his career year this season in both hitting and fielding. He does not make the list despite having enough ABs, having stats comparable to the leader, is 1st team All-Star and 4th on the MVP voting. I am just wondering if this is a bug in the program because he got traded during the season from the other league (3 games in the other league).

Gold Glove Mystery
Re: Gold Glove Mystery
The formula used to calculate Gold Glove awards is: (FPCT * 1000) + (+/- * .5) + (RF * 15). For catchers, the formula is: (FPCT*1000)+(CS%)-(PB*2). Position players need to play in 5 innings per team game to be eligible, pitchers 1 inning per team game.so at 150 games he needs 750 innings played all year or810 all season.

Yeah, he's got all that. That's the mystery.
Re: Gold Glove Mystery
He must not have enough innings in the AL - he came over in game 54 so he'll be active for 108 AL games - 67% of the season - and I calculate that gives him @740 AL innings.

No, he came over on 04/04 - the 4th day of the season. The other all-star catcher I traded for, Tom Smith, came over on 06/09.
Re: Gold Glove Mystery
Doh! It does seem weird that there are only 6 catchers on the AL list.
