Holder

Post by Killroy24 »

I have missed several FG because of a poor hold during the preseason. What stat am I looking for for a holder? I am not seeing it. Is it in the advance settings?

Ok, I found it the advanced settings. But I am still not seeing a hold skill set. Talks about needing a rating of 44 or better. Is it hands?

On the bottom of the PLAYER CARD under ROLES the H is for holding. Generally QBs make the best holders, but WR,kickers and punters can be good sometimes also.

This is actually a very good question. What skills are necessary for good holders? I always go hands and execution, but it still seems like I get a lot of bad holds.

Hands, execution, throw power and throw accuracy are the only skills used for a players holder rating. Since there isn't any wildly muffed snaps on field goal attempts where the holder will have to throw the ball out of desperation hands and execution are the only skills that matter.

Ok, so I guess bad holds still happen to the best of holders

I had several bad holds in the preseason. I got away with some, it cost me one for sure.

Bad hold + weak kicker = disaster almost every time. A decent or great kicker can overcome a bad hold every now and then
