Game of the Week (Week 16): Philadelphia @ Los Angeles

Post by luminafire » Thu Mar 26, 2020 9:36 pm

Note: Maybe I won't care enough to do it in the end but if I get the energy, I'm going to start these polls earlier in the day so the poll closes before halftime is over. The vast majority of people are just waiting until quarter 3 to vote and it's kind of ruining the fun. This one's my bad for being up so late though.

T'was two weeks til the playoffs and all through the league are winners and losers and lots of fatigue. It's Week 17 and two well-respected franchises with promising records come to do battle. The Marauders have secured their place in the playoffs and are looking to edge ahead of Detroit for the 2 seed. Meanwhile, the Federalists have had a challenging season but still have a chance to make the playoffs as a wildcard. The tale of the tape says that the Federalists have the better offense and the Marauders have the better defense. Neither is a top passing or rushing team nor do either defenses rank in the top tier in terms of measurable stats. One could say that neither had a truly signature win this season despite their records. Who's going to get on teams' radar in the final few games of the season? It's Guy Smiley and the Philadelphia Federalists versus Nolan Leo and the Los Angeles Marauders!

It's all good, just some seem like they're targeting voting after 1 PM est. It's halftime and we have 6 votes in of the 9 or 10 that usually vote so hopefully any later voters won't dramatically sway the results

How do you count a tie anyway? If the league ends 8-7-1, what is that considered? It's not .500, is it?

i believe a tie is, for percentage bases, a half a win and a half a loss
